Update

Hi everyone!

I haven't posted on my blog for ages and I haven't been around on social media much recently either so I thought I'd update you on some stuff.

I started doing a law degree and so I stopped blogging while I was getting into the swing of things, more recently I haven't been on my social media because I've been revising for and sitting my exams, which I am happy to say, I passed! I've also been away for a while and attending my lovely sisters wedding. On top of that I've been having some tech issues with my phone so I haven't been able to take photos of my nails, food etc.

Now I am able to juggle some other stuff alongside my degree and my phone issue is being sorted out I thought I would update everything and get back into doing some other stuff I love. So, you may have noticed my blog and social media has changed (or in a couple of cases is in the process of changing) to TaraTalks. The reason for this is that I don't want to just talk about nails (as TarasTalons) or writing scary fiction (as Tara Killmaster) but about lots of stuff I love such as my degree, baking, films, books, travel etc. So, my blog and social media will now be full of beautiful photos of nails, food, places I go to and much more and I will also be sharing nail tutorials and review, book reviews, recipes, studying tips and lots of other stuff.

As you have all been an enormous support to me while I did TarasTalons and wrote and published my first novel, I hope you'll all stick around and join me on my new journey.

The Diary Of A Serial Killer - The Blurb!

Hi! A little while ago I shared with you the front cover of my book (you can see it here if you missed it) and today I'm so nervous excited to share with you the blurb from my book! it' will be published very soon, so here's what it's about!

Tara x

Everyone knows you’re not supposed to read someone else’s secret diary but you’re welcome to read mine.

I won’t tell you my name. I won’t tell you what I look like. I won’t tell you where I live.

I will tell you all my secrets. I will tell you why I kill. I will tell you how I kill.

Tara’s debut crime novella gives a unique perspective on murder. That of the killer. The victims, the people left behind and even law enforcement don’t have a voice in this diary, because they don’t have a voice in his world.

If you want to know what a killer thinks about and feels during planning and carrying out a murder and even afterwards, look no further than ‘The Diary Of A Serial Killer’.

The first real piece of writing I've ever shared!

Hi!

I've shared my blog posts and one or two things with my mum but I don't usually share my writing. Since starting my book, though, I've had to get used to sharing it with a lot of people! So today, I'm going to share with you something I wrote using these books as inspiration.

The prompt I used was 'Write a story that ends with the line "And this is the room where it happened"'. There's 25 lines to write so it's a short piece and this is what I came up with...

Warning... This is not a nice story, don't read it if you're easily scared...or alone... ;)

She slept soundly. She didn't even stir as the intruder entered her room. He looked down at her sleeping peacefully and then placed the gun to her head, before pulling the trigger and killing her instantly. The silencer on the gun muted the sound, but nothing could mute the amount of blood it created.

He put the gun away and took out a large knife. He placed it against her stomach, the tip pressing against her skin. Then, with all of his strength, he stabbed it through her guts. He left the knife there for a second before yanking it upwards towards her chest. Over and over he stabbed and tore into her with the knife until she was covered in blood. Finally, he stabbed the knife into her heart and left it there, before using an axe to hack her limbs from her body and cut them up even smaller.

He left her there covered in her own blood, guts and limbs.

So, as you lay in your bed, and as he prepares to come out of his hiding place and kill again, just remember, you're all alone and this is the room where it happened.

The End

I hope you enjoyed the first piece of writing I've chosen to share! I'm a bit nervous!
