Also before I show you my mani, I just wanted to give a quick update on my nails! As you'll know if you read my blog, until a few months ago, I wore false nails and after years of wearing false nails and incorrectly removing them, my nails were weak and thin! I stopped wearing false nails and started manicuring my nails every day and using treatments. My nails were growing crazy fast - I was filing them every other day! They were also getting much stronger! However, I could see the damage on my nails and it had grown out all the way to the tips of my nails, I was worried that as the tips of my nails are obviously not supported by the nail bed and were damaged they could break and it could travel down onto the healthy nail or damage the nail in some way so I used my Leighton Denny crystal nail file to file off all the damage. I now have short nails but they are completely healthy! I will grow them a little longer but not too much :)
Now...... this is the mani I did using the Barry M polishes and the gold star embellishments from SheSellsSeashells!
I used two coats of Majesty on all of my nails except my ring fingers which I used two coats of Lady on. I love these textured polishes, they apply really, really well and dry super fast! Also if you're in a hurry then it's perfect as mistakes and imperfections don't show and as it's textured you don't need to topcoat!
I used some really pretty gold glittery star stickers I got from SheSellsSeashells on my ring fingers to carry on the gold theme! These are really fab, I bought them in loads of colours and they're perfect for quick nails art! I used a coat of Duri to top coat the whole mani, it did dull the texture slightly but it also sealed the stars so they stayed on perfectly and all the points were stuck to the nail fully.
So you can stamp over texture but it's not an amazing result (although that could just be because it's my first try!) but the solid designs come out much better than the outline designs! I think I'll definitely try this again!
